Questions and answers
• Material hoist: Is it possible to install a material hoist for transporting materials to the site as well as removing debris?
Yes, the location and placement must be verified with the COR in Facilities section beforehand.
• Water shutoff: Are the shutoff and restoration of water supply to the radiators the contractor's responsibility, or must they be carried out by the US Embassy’s technical team?
The shutoff and restoration of service are the contractor's responsibility. Consequently, the contractor must submit a prior request to our Facilities (FAC) section with one week's notice so that we can inform the building occupants.
• Electrical supply: Should the connection of our installation to the existing electrical panel be performed by our electrician, or by your technical teams?
The connection must be performed by the contractor, but the installation must be inspected by our FAC electricians both before and after the installation.
• Can you confirm whether the technical studies and execution drawings required to carry out the work are the contractor's responsibility, or whether they are provided by the project owner?
We can provide the base plans/existing layout templates, but the execution drawings necessary to carry out the work are indeed the contractor's responsibility.
