About this file
This document is an Acquisition Alert related to Executive Order 14173, which addresses compliance with federal anti-discrimination laws for government contractors. The document requires contractors to certify that they do not operate any Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) programs that violate federal anti-discrimination laws, with the certification being material to government payment decisions under the False Claims Act.
The Acquisition Alert specifically revokes previous executive orders promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion, and rescinds Executive Order 11246 on Equal Employment Opportunity. Contractors must complete a certification form affirming their compliance with all applicable federal anti-discrimination laws, with potential legal implications for false claims. The document provides a template certification form for contractors to fill out, including fields for company name, authorized representative details, and signature, dated in February 2025.
