About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for the U.S. Embassy Canberra Residential Cleaning Services solicitation (RFQ 19AS2025Q0020). The Q&A covers comprehensive cleaning service requirements for various residential properties, including houses, townhomes, and apartments. Key details include full cleaning expectations such as deep cleaning of grills, mold removal, wall and ceiling cleaning, HVAC filter cleaning, and garage/driveway maintenance. Cleaning will be performed across different property types with both single and two-story configurations, with no site visits due to occupied residences.
The contract is an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with a total annual awarded amount of $250,000.00 AUD, anticipated to start on September 1st, 2025. The cleaning service has flexible scheduling pending vendor availability, allows use of commercially available cleaning products, requires photographic evidence of cleaning, and involves specific key management protocols. Vendors are responsible for their own equipment and insurance, must handle key custody carefully, and will be responsible for any damage caused during cleaning. The U.S. Embassy expects to award contracts 7 days after quotations are received, with task orders funded as issued.
