About this file
This notice solicits contractor pre-qualification submissions for the design and construction of the new Milan Consulate Compound project in Italy. The U.S. Department of State Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations seeks to commission top contractors to construct a New Office Building, multiple access pavilions, a utility building, and marine security guard quarters with an estimated budget of $153.25 to $197.5 million. Interested firms must demonstrate having completed at least $114.94 million in similar U.S. diplomatic construction work.
The solicitation will follow a two-phase process, with Phase I evaluating pre-qualification submissions based on criteria such as Omnibus Diplomatic Security and Antiterrorism Act compliance and possession of a Secret facility security clearance. Phase II will issue a request for proposal to pre-qualified firms, who must participate in a mandatory site visit. Submissions are due by hand delivery or courier by the specified date to the Department of State contact, who may be contacted for clarification requests along with an alternative.
