About this file
This memorandum from the U.S. Department of State Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations reminds construction, design and engineering contractors of restrictions on publicly releasing information related to department projects without prior written approval. Contractors and subcontractors must safeguard all documents, records, photographs and other information generated during project work, which are considered sensitive and the sole property of the U.S. government. Additionally, the memorandum requests that contractors distributing project materials on company websites or other public media submit the information to listed contracting officers for review and approval in advance of publication. It also provides contact information for submitting future requests to publish approved project information. The related federal contract opportunity notice seeks submissions to pre-qualify firms for construction services for redeveloping the United States Embassy compound in Brasilia, Brazil, to be conducted by the Department of State Office of Acquisition Management.
