Camp Murray, AV Upgrade/Refresh
Performance Work Statement
8 Aug 2024
The following scope of work (SOW) is meant to clarify and document work to be done for the Washington Air National Guard at Camp Murray in building 109 rooms 202 & 221 as well as building 54 room 116. The design will entail equipment and programming to provide sound reinforcement and video content sharing in each space. With the use of an owner furnished (OFE) laptop the rooms will also support hybrid meetings and teaching. The OFE laptop will connect to the audio video equipment via a single USB-C cable. The laptop will then be able to take advantage of the room’s installed microphones, speakers, and cameras for hosting a remote audience. Content from the same laptop will be able to be shared on the room’s local display.
In building 54 room 116 new speakers will be mounted on either side of the existing display. A new PTZ camera will be mounted on the wall under the display. The camera lens will be centered at 42”. Cabling from the display will be routed inside the wall and through the room’s subfloor to the table location.
Two tabletop microphones and a USB-C docking station will be installed on the table. The microphones will provide audio to the far-end caller. The USB-C connection will allow for connection of an OFE laptop to share content and host a call.
In building 109 room 221 a new 75” display will be mounted on the wall in place of the existing whiteboard. Removal of the existing whiteboard is the responsibility of the owner and must be completed prior to the deployment of the new AV system. New speakers will be mounted on either side of the new display. A new PTZ camera will be mounted on the wall under the display. The camera lens will be centered at 42”. Cabling from the display will be routed inside the wall to the baseboard. A new cable track will be installed from the wall to the table starting at the base board and centered under the new display. Two tabletop microphones and a USB-C docking station will be installed on the table. The microphones will provide audio to the far end caller. The USB-C connection will allow for connection of an OFE laptop to share content and host a call.
In building 109 room 202 new ceiling speakers and power amplifier will be added for distribution of in room and meeting audio. The existing wall mount speakers will be disconnected and abandoned. The ceiling speakers currently in the room are part of the existing PA system and will NOT be touched. The existing ceiling microphones will be removed and turned over to the client. Two new beam forming ceiling array microphones will be installed in the room for providing audio to the far-end caller. It is the responsibility of the owner to replace any damaged or unusable ceiling tiles. Two new PTZ cameras will be mounted on either side of the stage to provide video for the far-end user. Two new wireless microphone channels will be installed and configured. Each microphone channel will have the option of using either a lapel style microphone or a handheld microphone. A single 18” long wired gooseneck microphone will be installed in the podium for voice lift. Also, at the podium a single USB-C connection will be provided to allow an OFE laptop to plug in and connect to the room microphones, speakers, and cameras for use in a call as well as share video content to the room projector. The existing projector and projection screen will remain and be integrated into the new AV system. A 7” touch panel will be installed at the podium to provide a control point for turning the system on/off, changing the volume level, and muting microphones. A new umbilical cable will be built in the podium for the purpose of plugging components in the podium to a new plug plate to be installed on the wall adjacent to the AV rack room. A new local AV only switch will be installed in the equipment rack behind the stage to provide interconnectivity of the room’s AV components for control. The existing AV components in the equipment rack for room 202 in building 109 will only be removed if they are part of the pre-existing AV system within this scope, are being disconnected, or are no longer needed. Any extra equipment that does not pertain to this AV scope should be removed in advance of the deployment window to maximize space in the existing AV rack. Contractor is not responsible for any existing functions as it relates to audio and video other than what is included in the scope above.
