About this file

This is an Addendum #1 issued by the Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners, Facilities Development and Operations Department, for Project 19331, Jim Brandon Equestrian Center - Microphone System Replacement. The addendum, issued on March 19, 2019, modifies the original bid documents and extends the bid due date from March 21, 2019 to March 28, 2019 at 2:00 PM. The project scope includes replacing the wireless microphone system, installing a user interface touchscreen allowing microphone input assignment to speaker zones, installing microphone input receptacles at each arena, and replacing speakers in the covered arena. The work is divided into two primary lots: Lot 1 covers the wireless microphone system installation requiring a Level 2 Shure Integrated Systems Certification, and Lot 2 covers the QSC Q-SYS Core processor and touchscreen controller installation. Work must be completed within sixty days of permit issuance during standard business hours (7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday). The project is located at 7500 Forest Hill Blvd., West Palm Beach, Florida.

The bid package requires submission of the completed bid form, Schedules 1 and 2, and bid security for bids of $200,000 or more. Liquidated damages accrue at $80 per day for schedule delays. The addendum deletes Lot 3 (120 VAC Service Bid Price) from the bid form and replaces the Project Requirements document dated February 15, 2019 with the updated version dated March 18, 2019, which includes Exhibit 7 defining required coverage areas. Bidders must acknowledge receipt of this addendum and all previously issued addenda and attach them to bid forms as binding contract documents. The work is subject to Critical Facilities Background Check requirements for all badged employees. All materials must meet or exceed Florida Building Code standards, and the contractor provides a twelve-month warranty on all equipment, materials, and labor from substantial completion.
