2. Also will you be providing the student training room and computers for the training?
We are providing the training rooms and computers for the students.
3. Are you open to moving the start date of 6/15 out?
Yes, we were able to move the dates out; the first week will be moved to August.
4. Will electronic materials be acceptable?
No, hard copies are necessary for the students to take notes.
5. The synopsis states that the training is for “an unlimited number of students in each course”. Do you want a price per seat? Are there a minimum number of students per class for the class to run?
We are asking a price for class, the minimum number of students per class will not fall below 2.
6. What is the likely size of each class?
The average class size is 13 students with two classes having 17 and 18 students respectively.
7. Will the classes be in your classroom at your site? Will you provide the computers for the instructor and the students and a projector?
The classes will be held on site at two different locations (training rooms). Computers will be available for all students and the instructor. The training rooms have a projector.
8. The synopsis requires us to “submit one price proposal for the Microsoft Office 2010 training”. Does that mean that you want one price that is the total of all classes? Do you want a price for each class using the form on page 1 of the synopsis? Did you mean to include items 0011, 0012, and 0013 under the umbrella of the Microsoft Office 2010 training or do you want the pricing for the last 3 items separately?
We require the price per class. Yes, items 0011, 0012, & 0013 will fall under the training of Microsoft 2010 training not separately.
9. What MS Office training was provided for ICE staff during the past two years? What training companies provided the training?
Microsoft Office training has not been provided in the past two years. Microsoft training was conducted in 2012 by OfficePro Inc.
10. How many students will the designated computer training room hold? How many desktop computers are in the room?
Our capacity at the Portals III training room is 12 students with the ability to accommodate an additional two students. Our capacity at the PCN training room is 23 students. All students will have computers available for use.
11. Will you expect each student to have hands on access to an individual computer for the training?
Yes, all students will have computers available for use during the training.
12. What is the realistic maximum number of students that can attend any of the classes? (could 1000 students be in one class or more like 20 students in a class) The average number of students will be 12 per class. There are two classes that will have 17 and 18 per class.
13. Will instructor have access to an instructors machine with the current software and connected to a projector for all students to view?
Yes, both training rooms have the capability for the instructor to utilize current software and be connected to an overhead projector.
14. Will the student training machines have the capability to accept non-Government training sample files?
Yes, the training room computers are configured specifically for training.
15. If the machines can accept files for training, will you have the ability to accept an email to a link and then download the files to each student training machine?
Yes, with individual students logging in they can accept training files.
16. Will the selected training company be able to bring training files into the facility on a thumb drive to be loaded on each student machine?
Policy dictates that no thumb drives are allowed unless they have encryption technology. The prudent course of action would to provide straining materials on a CD.
