PROJECT SPECIFIC INFORMATION

1.1 Project Overview

A. The Amistad Reservoir and Dam Project is self-sufficient in operating and maintaining its own public water system at the project site. The system is registered with the Texas Commission on

Environmental Quality (TCEQ) and is required to submit all mandated water samples and testing on a periodic basis. The water system serves the Amistad Dam field administration building, six (6) residential houses, maintenance buildings, the Port of Entry building, the Amistad warehouse, and the hydroelectric power plant building. The water source comes from an existing onsite well.

B. The existing twenty five thousand (25,000) gallon water tank requires cleaning, inspection, and repairs.

1.2 Project Goal

A. The purpose of this Scope of Work (SOW) is to clean, inspect, and repair the elevated, potable water tank located within the Amistad Village as part of USIBWC's Amistad Reservoir and Dam

Project.

1. The Contractor shall remove the water tank from service in order to perform the work under this Contract.

2. Prior to removing the tank from service, the Contractor shall provide a temporary potable water tank with at least ten thousand (10,000) gallon capacity.

3. After completion of all inspections and repairs, the water tank shall be disinfected prior to being brought back into service.

4. After being restored to service, the Contractor shall verify the proper function of the tank and repairs.

B. This is a nonpersonal service contract.

1.3 Project Location

A. The work is within the United States on land owned by the USIBWC in Val Verde County, Texas.

The site is located at 670 Texas Spur 349, Del Rio, Texas.

B. The work is located completely within the United States, but is adjacent to the international border with Mexico.

1.4 Period of Performance

A. The complete period of performance shall include the site coordination, installation of temporary potable water tank, cleaning the tank, inspections, repairs, disinfection, site cleanup, and all documentation.

B. The specific duration for the period of performance is noted in the Contract.

Page-2 of 39 USIBWC RFP 191BWC18R0009

1. Conditions bearing upon transportation, disposal, handling, and storage of materials.

2. The availability of labor, water, electric power, and roads.

3. Uncertainties of weather and similar physical conditions at the site.

4. The conformation and conditions of the ground.

5. The character of equipment and facilities needed preliminary to and during work performance.

C. Submission of a bid shall be conclusive evidence that the Contractor has investigated and is satisfied as to the conditions to be encountered, the character, quality, and scope of work to be performed, and the quantities of materials to be furnished.

D. Submission of a bid constitutes agreement that Contractor has provided written notice of all conflicts, errors, ambiguities, and discrepancies discovered in SOW, that responses to these written notices are acceptable to Contractor, and that SOW is sufficient to indicate and convey understanding of all terms and conditions for performing and furnishing required work.
