SECTION C- STATEMENT OF WORK
Fatherhood and Workforce Development Program
C.1 Agency Background. The mission of the Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency (CSOSA) is to increase public safety, prevent crime, reduce recidivism, and support the administration of justice in close collaboration with the community. CSOSA is responsible for the supervision of all probationers and parolees held under the authority of any United States or District of Columbia statute, or any other lawful authority and entrusted to the District. CSOSA has been mandated to provide comprehensive treatment services to offenders (hereinafter referred to as offenders) who have been ordered to undergo such treatment by the courts, either as part of a sentence or pre-sentence, or as a condition of probation or parole.
C.2 Objective. Reduce barriers to finding and keeping employment for fathers supervised by
CSOSA.
1. Improve parenting knowledge, skills, and confidence among justice involved fathers.
2. Provide job readiness education to reduce employment and job retention barriers that fathers supervised by CSOSA face.
3. Develop individual service plans (ISP) for program participants that may include enrollment and completion in industry recognized vocational training programs.
4. Achieve job placement.
