Technical Question Review Enclosure 1 and 2 nor S.O.W. does not indicates approximately or estimate of how deep to excavate. This is imperative NCDOT requires shoring after a certain depth of excavation. There's some eroding of soil after release therefore more backfill material is required (Clay or Sand) due to Compaction requirements and expansion of erosion. More backfill material may be needed to be brought on sight. This could change anticipated cost.
There is no documented depth on any prints that I could find when drafting the SOW. However, looking inside the boxes, the bottom of the pipes appear to be approximately 38" below the road surface.
