About this file
This is an Addendum No. 1 to a Request for Proposal issued by the Department of Technology, Management and Budget, State Facilities Administration Design and Construction Division for the Sturgeon Point Light House Electrical Improvements project. The project, identified as File Number 751/16464.SMD, involves electrical upgrades at the Sturgeon Point Light House facility. Proposals were due on Wednesday, September 11, 2019, with submissions required through the SIGMA VSS electronic portal, with individual attachments limited to 6 megabytes maximum. A pre-bid walk-through was conducted on September 4, 2019, with an attendee sign-in sheet appended to this addendum. The Project Director is Scott DeKorte.
The addendum provides eight clarifications and modifications to the original RFP. Contractors must provide unit costs for new ceiling light fixture electrical boxes, with the final quantity to be determined later using project contingency funding. Unit pricing is also required for removal and disposal of lead-based paint per square foot as necessary. The contractor should assume the conduit from the keeper's quarters to the gift shop is reusable, and new exterior electrical outlets for the gift shop must be routed through code-acceptable buried conduit installed 12 inches deep against the foundation wall using hand digging to minimize soil disturbance. New outlets will utilize the spare location within the gift shop electrical panel. A completed partial electrical study from WTA is appended for contractor reference. Electronic submissions experiencing technical issues should contact the SIGMA Help Desk at 888.734.9749 or via email, with emailed submissions requiring prior approval from the DCD Contracting Section Manager.
