About this file
This is Addendum No. 1 to a Request for Proposal issued by the Michigan Department of Technology, Management and Budget's State Facilities Administration, Design and Construction Division for electrical improvements at the Sturgeon Point Light House (File Number 751/16464.SMD). The proposal responses are due September 11, 2019, and must be uploaded to SIGMA VSS, with individual attachments no larger than 6 MB. The project includes installing new ceiling light fixture electrical boxes, routing new exterior electrical outlets, and utilizing spare locations within the gift shop electrical panel.
The addendum specifies several cost requirements including a unit cost per location for new ceiling light fixture electrical boxes (quantity to be determined using project contingency funding) and a unit cost per square foot for lead-based paint removal and disposal. Technical specifications include reusing existing conduit from the keeper's quarters to the gift shop, installing buried conduit for exterior outlets 12 inches deep and 8 inches from the gift shop foundation wall, and hand-digging installation to minimize soil disturbance. The addendum also references an appended WTA completed partial electrical study and a pre-bid walk-through sign-in sheet from September 4, 2019.
