Questions from Industry Inflight Paramedic Solicitation 15M30023QA3700003 3 Nov 22

Number of flights per month or per year:

1) Requiring an overnight stay (the estimate states 2 nights per week per paramedic, but how many paramedics does this estimate apply to?), or is there a percentage of flights which you can estimate are RON?

Response:

a. The estimate requiring an overnight stay would be as stated above.

b. This would apply to one (1) paramedic.

2) Requested on weekends

Response: Zero

3) Requested on short notice (i.e., flights that were not scheduled the previous Friday whether the day before or hours before)

Response: Generally, this can happen five (5) times per year.

4) Requested after normal business hours

Response: These requests could possibly occur anytime a scheduled paramedic calls in for emergency sick leave after being scheduled previously. Approximately one (1) to five (5) times per month.

5) Are there any historical instances where multiple paramedics have been required to fly simultaneously?

Response: Yes

6) Has this been historically staffed by 2 paramedics? One who is on a scheduled flight and the other who is on-call for emergency flights?

Response:

a. This would be rare, but the possibility could arise.

b. This could happen but rarely – it has happened only a couple of times in the last couple years.

7) Can the agency please provide the incumbent’s details?
