Response to Question

Grand Jury & Deposition Court Reporting Services, USAO-WVS

The following questions were received for RFQ 15JA0522Q00000037 —

Question 1. We are hoping to find out if there is (was) an incumbent contractor performing these services, or if this is a brand new contract. If there is an incumbent, could you please provide the current / previous contract number?

Answer 1. This is not a new requirement. Current incumbents are the following—

ELSS Executive Reporting DJJ-17-X-EOA02-0106 Sargent’s Court Reporting Services DJJ-17-X-EOA02-0107

Question 1. When is GJ held days/weeks of the month?

Answer 1. The grand jury is typically scheduled on Tuesday-Wednesday. If a Federal holiday falls on a Monday, grand jury will be scheduled on Wednesday- Thursday. The Grand Jury technician keeps in contact with the court reporter (or they will check with her sometimes) to let them know how many days of grand jury is to be expected and that always depends on how many indictments are going to be presented. Grand jury always begins at 9:30am. If we are impaneling a new grand jury, they will begin at 9:00am. Additionally, the awardee will be supplied with the 2022 yearly calendar.
