About this file
This is an amendment to Request for Proposal 15F06726R0000147 for suppressors chambered in 5.56 NATO, posted to SAM.gov on June 08, 2026. Amendment 001 modifies Section C (Statement of Work) and Section M (Evaluation Factors for Award) of the original RFP.
Section C.3.1 updates the Bureau Pattern Carbine (BPC) specifications by adding specific barrel lengths and gas system configurations to three test platforms. The revised specifications now require 11.5" Geissele and Colt chrome lined barrels with carbine length gas systems, replacing the original specifications that did not specify barrel length or gas system type. All three carbine variants maintain the same 5.56 NATO chamber, 1:7 twist rate, 1/2 x 28 threaded muzzle, Mil-Spec upper and lower receivers, "H" buffer, and "M4" feed ramps. Section M.3.5 contains a technical correction to Phase II, Factor 9 (Group Repeatability), changing the reference from Factor 7 to Factor 8 regarding which suppressed groups will be used for calculating group repeatability metrics (Groups 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12).
