About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for an RFQ regarding installation services in St. Thomas, USVI.

The document addresses two key inquiries from prospective contractors. First, regarding construction drawings that reference plumb and tensioning work on pages S-2 and S-3, the government clarified that this work is explicitly NOT included in the scope of work for this installation solicitation. Although noted on the drawings for technical consistency, plumb and tensioning is being handled by a separate vendor and should not be priced in the quote. Second, concerning a required site walk referenced in Section 3.1 of the Statement of Work, the government confirmed that the site walk is only mandatory after contract award and is not required prior to quote submission. Contractors should include pricing for both the site walk and installation activities in their proposals. No changes to the RFQ were deemed necessary based on these clarifications.

Pages S-2 and S-3

On pages S-2 and S-3 of the Construction Drawings, plumb and tensioning work is outlined, but there is no mention of this in the SOW. Can you confirm whether or not plumb and tensioning of the tower should be included in this quote?

The plumb/tensioning is NOT part of this installation solicitation. It's important to note on the Construction Drawings for tech consistency, but is NOT part of this SOW on purpose. It's being handled by another vendor separately.

No

St+Thomas+SOW_draft Section 3.1

"This visit should be considered a separate action apart from installation" Where should we submit pricing for the site walk? Or how do we handle invoicing for the site walk?

A site walk is only required after award has been made.

This action is not required prior to quote submission.

Pricing should include both the site walk and installation. No
