| Offeror Question | USG response | |
Can model(s) for Mexico be different from model(s) destined to San Diego. | As long as the vehicles are substantially similar they can be different (for example Denali and High Country ar the same under different brand plates). Also to clarify, only 1 (one) vehicle is destined for San Diego, 2 (two) are destined for Mexico.
Can the vehicle(s) destined for San Diego be purchased in the Company name and then resold to the DOJ/FBI in San Diego or do they need to be titled directly in the name of the DOJ/purchased in the U.S. | The vehicles should be delivered to the USG in new conditions with the modifications clearly defined in the solicitation package at which point title will transfer to DOJ/FBI upon inspection and acceptance.
Can the three vehicles be purchased in Mexico and would the U.S. Government assist with the importing the vehicle(s)for San Diego jointly with contractor. In this case, all vehicles are still originally manufactured in the U.S., so they are compliant with SS Federal Standards. | No
In accordance with (U)General Requirements, the entire cargo compartment must be armored in level B6+ which will require the installation of a Barn door at the interior of the tailgate. Is this acceptable. | Yes. All our current vehicles have a barndoor installed.
The Bumper-to-Bumper option for 5 years in the U.S. would be jointly between the GMC Dealer for the OEM issues and Contractor issues and in Mexico, Contractor would be responsible for a Bumper-to-Bumper warranty for the full 5 years as required by the FBI. Is this acceptable. | Yes
Concerning the front windows capability, if Contractor standard is to lower the Driver’s window up to 90% and the passenger window by 5”. Please advise us if this is acceptable or inform us what your exact requirement is to make sure we can comply. | Yes, 90% driver and 5" passenger, is acceptable
