Original SCOPE OF WORK (Not Valid Now)
Administration Def #74768 Prevailing Wage are required.
Summary: The HVAC system design is probably not well suited for Job Corps center. The system has 5 HVAC units along with 31 single duct VAV boxes and 5 bypass dampers. Anything in addition to the five HVAC units is designed to add quality which it may, or may not, but does add complexity. Furthermore, the equipment /system is proprietary.
Recommendations: The system needs to be simplified and have the proprietary elements removed. Remove the VAV boxes and replace with duct. Remove the bypass dampers and cap the duct connections to them. Remove all proprietary controls. Each HVAC unit will be furnished with a new programmable thermostat located in a secure room. The unit fans will run when the units are in the occupied mode. Remote temperature.
