THE PUPOSE OF THIS AMENDMENT IS TO EXTEND THE SOLICITATION CLOSING DATE/TIME TO: 01/12/2024 - 11:00 A.M. CT. US/ Central. QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS HAVE BEEN UPLOADED TO THIS AMENDMENT, AND A SITE VISIT HAS BEEN ADDED TO THIS SOLICITATION AND SCHEDULED FOR 01/03/2024 BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 8AM-12PM. PLEASE REVIEW THE QUESTIONS
AND ANSWERS MEMO ATTACHED - QUESTION NO. 7 FOR THE DETAILS OF THE SITE VISIT.

RE: Request for Quote – 15BFA023Q00000129 Propane Services Federal Correctional Institution – Three Rivers
Questions and Answers:
1. Who is the incumbent?
There is no incumbent.
2. How much plumbing will the contractor be responsible for?
The contractor will be responsible for disconnecting the old piping form the old tanks and reconnecting new piping to the new tanks.
3. Who will be supplying the foundation for the tanks?
The contractor.
4. Is remote tank monitoring required or wanted?
Remote tank monitoring is not required.
5. Do we need to price all options since they are all different terms?
Yes, you will need to submit a quote for each line item.
6. How many meters would be needed and the projected volume per meter?
1 per tank, for 4 tanks.
7. Would it be possible to send someone to inspect the current set up?
Yes, a Site Visit has been scheduled for Wednesday, January 3, 2024, between the hours of 8am - 12pm. The point of contact for this Site Visit is Walter Soto Ruiz, Supervisory Contract Specialist at FCI Three Rivers. Mr. Soto Ruiz can be reached at (361) 786-3576, ext. 1133. The Site Visit will be held ONLY on the date and time mentioned above. NO EXCEPTIONS.
8. Are the tank sizes that are listed a minimum size tank, or can they be bigger?
The tank sizes noted in the solicitation, are the sizes needed. Please submit your quote for the sizes noted in the solicitation.
9. The solicitation asks for new piping, is this the new piping to the tanks, or do you also want the 4-inch piping that goes all the way to the building replaced?
The request for new piping is to pipe in the new tanks. Currently, FCI Three Rivers do not need the 4-inch pipe going all the way to the buildings.
10. Can you confirm that this solicitation is replacing the existing equipment with not adding the new equipment along with existing?
The equipment that is currently on site will be removed. Whomever is awarded this contract will bring in their own tanks and all other equipment necessary for this requirement.
11. 5,000 Gallon tanks are not a commonly inventoried tank size. Are we able to substitute (10) ten 1,000 Gallon tanks which equate to the same supply capacity?

No, FCI Three Rivers need (2) 5,000 Gallon Tanks. FCI Three Rivers does not have the space to store
(10) 1,000 Gallon Tanks.
12. Will a delivery driver or service technician be required to relight any pilot lights inside the facility?
No.
