FCI DUBLIN – UPGRADE FIRE ALARM SYSTEM – PHASE 2

PROJECT 6C6H ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

SOLICITATION 15BDUB20B00000001

SUBMITTED BY SABAH INTERNATIONAL:

1. Are graphical maps required with the new Fireworks display?

CLARIFICATION: Yes

2. Is the New fireworks replacing the existing Fireworks?

CLARIFICATION: the intent is for the existing Fireworks to integrate new Fire Alarm Control Panels (FACPs).

3. If it is (replacing) the existing Fireworks what is the software rev on the current EST 3 network nodes?

Clarification: N/A

4. Is the contractor responsible for making sure the system can handle the additional nodes?

Clarification: Yes, the contractor is responsible for ensuring the existing system is modified as required to integrate new components, including nodes.

5. How many nodes are on the existing network?

Clarification: The existing system is configured with 64 nodes. Currently there are 8 building networked on this system utilizing 32 panels.

6. If the existing Software Rev is not compatible with new Fireworks which would require upgrading and testing of the current systems per the manufacture and NFPA 72, is it the responsibility of the contractor for this project?

Clarification: Contractor is responsible for complete and functional integration of the new components, including providing software and programming of the existing Fireworks and existing EST3 panels as required to integrate the system as a whole.

7. Does this facility have a copy of current software and data base of the installed system that can be provided for this project?

Clarification: The Institution does not have the software for any of the EST3 panels. The company that programmed the system does, which is HCI Systems. The Institution does have the software for FIREWORKS in the Control Center.

8. Does the facility have a copy of the as-built?

Clarification: The Government does not guarantee it has as-builts for the Institution. The Government does have As-Built drawing of the previous Phase of this work available for the Contractor awarded this contract.

9. Addendum number one indicates that submittals will be submitted within 10 days of notice to proceed. Does this include the shop drawings showing wiring and voltage drops?

Clarification: Yes, submittals must be submitted within 10 days of notice to proceed.
