About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) memorandum for Solicitation 15B30125Q00000021, issued by the Federal Bureau of Prisons Federal Correctional Institution in Atlanta, GA, related to an ammunition procurement requirement. The Q&A addresses three key vendor inquiries: (1) remanufactured ammunition is not allowed, (2) proposed rounds with different specifications will be rejected as the specifications are strict, and (3) two Contract Line Items (CLINs) can be delivered in separate shipments provided all supplies are delivered within 90 days of the award issuance. The document confirms that only specific Jacketed Hollow Point ammunition made with lead will be accepted, and vendors must strictly adhere to the original specifications without deviation.

MEMORANDUM FOR SOLICITATION 15B30125Q00000021
SUBJECT: Questions Regarding Ammunition Requirement
Q: Is remanufactured ammunition allowed for this requirement?
A: Remanufactured ammunition is not allowable.
Q: Would you consider our rounds [different specifications] in lieu of a Jacketed Hollow Point made with lead?.
A: No. The specifications are strict. Anything outside of the specifications will be rejected.
Q: Would FCI Atlanta Armory be open to receive each of the two CLINs in two distinct shipments if doing so accelerates delivery of one of the items by more than 10 days or if it's a hard requirement that all products arrive in the same shipment.
A: If the supplies are delivered within 90 days of the issuance of the award, then it is acceptable.
