Question 1:
In looking through the prints, I see fencing for the laydown area on the overall site plan and around the temporary food service area. As I continue to look at the overall plan, I see some of the permanent security fence that is printed in darker ink than other fence lines in the print which in most cases in the prints I look at means new fence.
I just need to verify whether it truly represents new fence or if it is existing fence.
BOP Response:
Clarification: The fence at the laydown area is new, by Contractor.
Refer to Keynote 5 on Sheet C1.0. The fence around the area that will contain the temporary kitchen trailers, identified by Keynote 4 on Sheet C2.1, is also new, by Contractor. Additional information for these fences is on other drawings in the set. There are no other new fences included in the project.
Question 2:
Drawing E0.3 shows underground conduit run in an undisturbed area outside the area of demolition from the powerhouse roof penetration in route to UPB‐3. Please provide direction on how the conduit is to be installed passing through the fencing and across the road.
BOP Response:
Clarification: Underground conduit is to be run in new concrete duct bank, per Detail 5 on Sheet E3.1, with pull boxes per Detail 3 on Sheet E3.1. Where new utilities run through existing paved areas, remove and repair paving as shown in Detail 1 on Sheet C6.2.
Question 3:
Are we to remove a section of the fence to provide the underground conduit?
BOP Response:
Clarification: It is Contractor’s option to remove and repair a section of fence, or to run the new utility under the existing fence. Any temporary openings in existing fencing require written request to the Owner, not less than 5 days before cutting. No fence is to be cut without the Owner’s written approval.
Question 4:
Are we to close the road and include the road patch?
BOP Response:
Clarification: Yes. Refer to Question 2 above.
