About this file
This is a Delivery Schedule document for a federal food service contract, likely for the Bureau of Prisons (BOP). All awarded items must be delivered between April 20, 2026 and May 1, 2026, with no deliveries accepted after May 1, 2026. Deliveries are restricted to Monday through Friday between 7:00 am and 2:00 pm, and contractors should contact the Food Service warehouse at (919) 575-5000, extension 1441 or 1058 to arrange delivery times. Contractor failure to meet delivery schedules without excusable delay or failure to conform to contract specifications will negatively impact the contractor's past performance history, which may be used in future award decisions and could result in a determination of non-responsibility for future contract awards.
All deliveries must be palletized unless prior arrangements are made with warehouse staff. Non-frozen perishable foods must arrive between 34°F and 40°F, while frozen foods must arrive at 0°F or below; any product showing evidence of prior thawing will be refused. All items must strictly comply with BOP National Menu Specifications, and contractors are responsible for obtaining and understanding these specifications before quoting. Certified Religious Diet Items must be clearly marked or will be rejected. All items will be closely inspected, and receipt of delivery may be conditional for up to three days to allow for adequate examination and testing, including thawing and cooking as needed. Items failing to meet specifications will be refused, and conditionally received items found unacceptable must be picked up by the vendor at their expense within two weeks of noncompliance notification; unpicked items will be disposed of by the Government. Vendors who fail to meet delivery schedules are subject to removal from future solicitations.
