About this file

This document is a Delivery Schedule for a Halal food products contract with the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) at the Federal Correctional Complex Butner in North Carolina. The delivery window is strictly defined as July 21-31, 2025, with deliveries accepted only Monday through Friday between 7:30 am and 2:00 pm. Specific temperature and packaging requirements are mandated: non-frozen perishable foods must be delivered between 34-40 degrees F, frozen foods at 0 degrees F or below, and all deliveries must be palletized unless pre-arranged.

The document emphasizes strict compliance with BOP National Menu Specifications, with all Certified Religious Diet Items requiring specific marking. Vendors face significant consequences for non-compliance, including potential removal from future solicitations, refusal of deliveries, and negative past performance ratings. The receiving process includes a three-day conditional receipt period, during which items will be closely inspected, potentially requiring thawing and cooking to verify specification compliance. Any items failing to meet specifications must be retrieved by the vendor within two weeks at their expense or will be disposed of by the facility.
