About this file
This document is a Special Conditions memorandum from the Neighborhood & Economic Operations Department and Community Development Department in Michigan, specifically addressing a demolition project for a property located at 1520 E. Ganson (Parcel Number 8-06322-006). The project involves complete demolition of a house situated on a 20,204 sq. ft. lot, with comprehensive site preparation requirements including hazardous materials abatement, selective concrete and curb removal, sidewalk replacement, and full site regrading. Specific demolition and site restoration tasks include removing a partial double-wide approach, installing new concrete curb and gutter, removing and replacing damaged sidewalks, and managing vegetation by removing most trees and brush while strategically planting two 2" caliper Japanese Lilac trees.
The project requires strict compliance with MIOSHA and DEQ regulations, with particular attention to hazardous material removal as outlined in a pre-demolition compliance survey. The contractor will be responsible for careful site management, including protecting adjacent properties, ensuring proper grading, installing topsoil and seeding, and minimizing damage to surrounding infrastructure. Financial details, funding sources, and specific budget allocations are not explicitly detailed in the document. The scope emphasizes meticulous site restoration, including compacting backfill materials, managing existing infrastructure, and preparing the site for potential future development through comprehensive demolition and landscaping protocols.
