thedetails: The Illinois Tollway is seeking an amendment to its current Vehicle Hoist Inspection, Repair and Certification Services contract. The Vendor (Standard Industrial Automotive & Equipment Inc.) will provide annual Rotary and Joyce brand vehicle inspection, replacement, repair and certification services for its existing vehicle in-ground and above-ground lifts on an as-needed basis at various locations throughout the Tollway System. The resulting amendment to the current estimated contract with the awarded Vendor shall continue to its current expiration date of 7/31/26. This amendment amount is estimated at $98,500.00 which will give the total contract a estimated value of $457,274.85. The additional funding is needed for unforeseen repairs. In addition to repairs of these units this contract also covers all vehicle lifts certifications which must be certified every year.

Without the Vehicle Hoist Inspection, Repair and Certification Services contract it could result in certification expiration. If certification expires this jeopardizes the lifts of being out of services until the certification is updated. These vehicle lifts are vital to the operation of the Tollway. In order to provide for a safe roadway, the Tollway must maintain its vehicles for the operators and to protect the general traveling public. This in turn keeps the vehicle in good working order and it can then be resold after its usefulness and return dollars back to the Tollway for future purchases. Without these services in place, it could delay the maintenance of Tollway vehicles.

The Initial Term of the Contract was from August 1, 2016 to July 31, 2021, which had a estimated contract value of $238,774.85 with a five-year renewal.

The 5 Year Renewal is from August 1, 2021 to July 31, 2026 an has a estimated value of $120,000.00.

The total Estimated Value of this Contract (Initial Term and Renewal) is $358,774.85.

The Tollway is requesting a Estimated $98,500.00 contract increase to cover the spend through the end of the contract.
