About this file

This document is a solicitation amendment for a construction contract to replace ladders, platforms, and guardrails at Shadehill Dam. The project is being conducted by the Bureau of Reclamation with a project magnitude between $250,000 and $500,000, classified under NAICS code 237990 (Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction) with a small business size standard of $45 million. The solicitation procedures are full and open competition, and the contract involves removal and disposal of metalwork with coatings containing regulated metals.

The solicitation amendment (No. 0002) modifies several sections of the original contract document, including specification sections related to removal and disposal of metalwork. The response deadline for submission of proposals remains April 11, 2025, at 1700 Mountain Daylight Time. The amendment includes detailed requirements for handling hazardous materials, specifically addressing coatings containing heavy metals such as beryllium, cadmium, chromium, lead, silver, and vanadium. Contractors must comply with various federal regulations, including OSHA standards, and provide comprehensive documentation about waste handling, disposal, and worker safety procedures.

I - 4

Federal contract information means information, not intended for public release, that is provided by or generated for the Government under a contract to develop or deliver a product or service to the Government, but not including information provided by the Government to the public (such as on public websites) or simple transactional information, such as necessary to process payments.

Information means any communication or representation of knowledge such as facts, data, or opinions, in any medium or form, including textual, numerical, graphic, cartographic, narrative, or audiovisual (Committee on National Security Systems Instruction (CNSSI) 4009).

Information system means a discrete set of information resources organized for the collection, processing, maintenance, use, sharing, dissemination, or disposition of information ( 44 U.S.C. 3502).

Safeguarding means measures or controls that are prescribed to protect information systems.
