About this file
This document is an Amendment (No. 0001) to Solicitation No. 140R6025Q0051 for the Wyoming Kortes Powerplant Sump Pumps Replacement project. The amendment provides detailed responses to seven technical questions about pump specifications, including clarifications on water lubrication, mechanical seal details, elevation measurements, and foundation plate characteristics. The amendment also updates the quote receipt deadline to July 25, 2026, at 12:00 PM MDT.
The accompanying technical drawing provides dimensional details of the proposed sump pump, including total length (approximately 386.38"), column specifications, and various component measurements. Key specifications include an 8" 150# ANSI RF S/O Out connection, a 60' std section length flanged column, and a minimum required submergence of 27.83". Some dimensions are marked as "TBD" or "Unknown", indicating potential areas requiring further clarification or design refinement.

Solicitation No. 140R6025Q0051 Amendment No. 0001
Description of Changes: The following changes are hereby incorporated into and made a part of this solicitation:
Answering of the following questions:
1. One thing I don’t see is any sort of dimensioning for either the pump or the pit. We will need that info. See Appendix A for Drawings.
2. Also, on the water lubed bearings, is that process water or external clean flush water?
Process water - raw water/fresh lake water.
3. Would also like more info on the “oil lubricated mech seal”. Are they wanting a dual seal of some sort, or possibly packing with a lantern ring? Mechanical Seal that is externally lubricated from a reservoir that is best suited for the conditions. Packing box language should have been removed.
4. Is the 50’ of head from the discharge nozzle or the low liquid level? Would need to know LLL if that’s the case. Low Level Sump setting will be at Elevation 5918.50 and discharging to a poll that varies between Elevation 5934 and 5970 with normal conditions around 5939.
5. Do you know the thickness of the current sole plate/Foundation plate? 1" Thick (Supply of Sole Plate optional for this request)
6. Do you have the opening dimensions of the current sole plate/foundation plate? No.
There is enough room to pass column flanges through and for column to be attached to base plate.
7. Do you know the total distance from the pump base to the bottom of the sump? There is a 6" clearance from bottom pump to sump floor.
Picture below for reference.
Receipt of Quotes: The hour and date for receipt of the quotes has changed to July 25, 2026, by 12:00 PM MDT.
Third Party: If you have given a copy of the solicitation to someone else, please forward this amendment accordingly.
