Amendment 2 140R4022Q0035 Combined Synopsis/Solicitation for San Juan Chama Backhoe Loader

Questions and Answers

1. In order for the Quick-coupler forks to be attached to the backhoe it will need a Hydraulic Quick-coupler as well as the forks. The loader bucket will also be a coupler style bucket instead of a pin-on style.

Any other equipment needed to use the coupler forks needs to be included in the quote.

2. On the Extended Warranty, John Deere offers 3 options. Powertrain, Powertrain Plus Hydraulics and Comprehensive (Full Machine). Which is your preference?

The extended warranty needs to cover a 36-month (3 year) period. If there are options, please include in the quote.

3. On the Mechanic Support Services section it asks for a minimum of 3 years of service, however the service interval on a 310SL Backhoe according to the John Deere operators manual is every 500 hours of use. In the specs it says the hours of use per year is estimated to be 120 hours per year. Therefore, in 3 years’ time the unit would only have approximately 320 hours on it, which is less than the first service period.

Service will be required on the equipment a minimum of once per year regardless of equipment hours, at location of the equipment.

4. What does IAW stand for on the Price Schedule?

In accordance with.

5. Who is to receive the final quote, there are individuals listed in the Statement of Work.

All quotes and questions should be emailed to the Contract Specialist listed on the last page of the Combined Synopsis/Solicitation; Valerie Jiron vjiron@usbr.gov.
