About this file
This is a Sources Sought amendment providing clarifications on a powerplant electrical switchgear replacement project. The amendment extends the Sources Sought due date to 5:00 PM PDT on April 15, 2026, and answers four key questions regarding project scope and requirements.
The work involves removing and replacing four existing subpanels (DCA, DCB, D1A, and DCC) at a powerplant facility with 480VAC switchgear and below, though the facility operates two 4160VAC generating units. The DCA subpanel serves as the main station service distribution for the entire facility. The contractor must supply backup generator power as deemed necessary to maintain operations during the replacement work. Regular working hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with any work outside these hours requiring two-week advance coordination with the Contracting Officer's Representative. Additionally, the contractor is responsible for providing restroom facilities and hand wash stations throughout the contract period. No 24-hour management is required.
