About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document from a pre-bid site visit held on August 27, 2024, for the Trinity River Division GSU Transformer Replacements project (Solicitation No. 140R2024R0002) issued by the Bureau of Reclamation's California-Great Basin Regional Construction Office.
The document contains a single question regarding concerns about firm-fixed pricing from transformer manufacturers, specifically about the possibility of adjustable pricing due to expected price escalations for future year supplies. The response directs bidders to Section I - Contract Clauses, Article FAR 52.216-2 Economic Price Adjustment-Standard Supplies, and indicates that BOR is exploring alternatives to allow for price adjustments, with further guidance to be provided in a future amendment.
