Text version

Q1: How many trees on each property need to be removed?

A1: It will be between 130-155 trees per acreage depending on how the farmer planted them. Some areas may be less due to staging areas and roads.

Q2: Will the trees be idenfied or marked?

A2: Reclamaon will work with the selected contractor to mark/idenfy the area.

Q3: Can we schedule a site visit?

Q3: There will be a site visit on Tuesday, January 30th at 9:45am. More details and inerary provided in updated combined synopsis/solicitaon.

Q4: Is the debri being le behind?

A4: The contractor is responsible for the removal and disposal of the surface irrigaon lines (rubber/plasc drip lines and surface hook ups). Wood chips are to be le on site in large pills. Debris or items on the property (extra pipes, concrete, etc.) should be moved to a locaon to allow the contractor to safely complete the work.

Q5: What are the direcons exactly to the property that has 181 acres?

A5: Specific direcons are not needed at this point. Access to both properes requires the use of our Federal Easement. Only the contractor that is selected will be provided access under our Federal Easement (no Federal escort needed) to perform the work.

Q6: Is there entrance ways where heavy machinery can enter?

A6: Yes these are unpaved farm roads and are designed to carry/support large farm equipment.

Q7: Are we hauling away all of the irrigaon materials once they are removed from the ground?

A7: The contractor is responsible for the removal and disposal of the surface irrigaon lines (rubber and plasc drip lines and above ground hook ups). Metal pipes or debris that happens to gget exposed during tree removal, should be moved to locaon on the property to allow the contractor to safely complete the project. The contractor is not responsible for hauling the underground debris away.

Q8: Is there any metal piping we should know about?

A8: The contractor is no expected to haul away any secondary pipes (which can be metal or PVC and are underground). If the secondary lines are disturbed via a tree removal and is creang a hazard, the exposed secon should be removed to allow for the contractor to level the ground. They are not responsible for disposal of the secondary pipes/hook ups.

Q9: Are we able to bid the project as a large business even with the small business set-aside in place?

A9: No, this is a small business set-aside.
