Questions and Answers

Q1. What is the total employee count amount CCAO facilities (Folsom, Nimbus, Lake Berryessa, New Melones Resource, and New Melones Power Plant)?

A1. Please see the Performance Work Statement under Section 2.5.

Q2. Do the annual costs have to be fixed for the 5-year duration (Base + 4 option years)?

A2. This is a fixed price contract, but the vendor is not required to use the same yearly price for the entire 5-year contract. It would be up to the contractor to determine whether or not to include a price escalation factor in the option years.

Q3. Are you just going with the lowest bidder regardless of needs/performance/support/other stipulations? Is there a percentage or grading rubric you’re using?

A3. No. Reclamation has determined to change the evaluation method to a comparative evaluation of past performance and price. The comparative evaluation would not be based on a formal rating system and instead be on a direct comparison of the past performance and price information of the quote to determine the best value. See revised 52.212-2 for further information.

Q4. How should we structure our response? What needs to be included, what is required, and what is optional?

A4. Please review quote instructions on page 28 of the solicitation package.

Q5. Is firmed fixed pricing for the service or chemical themselves?

A5. It is firm fixed pricing for the service.

Q6. What are the type of chemicals you are looking for?

A6. We are looking for management of our safety data sheets online.

Q7. Do you want us to stock chemicals?

A7. No.

Q8. How should we structure our quote?

A8. Please review quote instructions on page 28 of the solicitation package.
