14. DESCRIPTION OF AMENDMENT/MODIFICATION (Organized by UCF section headings, including solicitation/contract subject matter where feasible.)
Project Title: Schaake Waste Disposal
The purpose of this amendment answer questions submitted by vendors.
Question 1: I am working with hazmat disposal companies in your area and one asked me if the discovery of the drums are related to an open toxic waste code that was found back in
2021. In the follow up with a toxic cleanup program it mentions that the drums were removed on 9/17/21 in that area? I was asked by a hazmat waste disposal center if the EPA ID's being the dichlorobenzenes (D027) as well as a Washington only toxic waste code (WP02) are related to the hazmat in the dumpster.

Answer: The waste code for the dichlorbenzene was from the initial discovery and release during the construction. The material in the dumpster is soil and according to the latest lab results, which have been included with the solicitation, the concentration has degraded naturally to significantly lower levels.
Question 2: Can the 55-gallon steel drums be removed from the 20-yard bin? One 55-gallon drum full of liquid content can weigh up to 500 pounds. Would there be 80 containers in the bin to make the estimated weight to be delivered
80,000 pounds?
Answer: The 55-gallon drums are basically rusted out and disintegrated; there is no liquid. The material in the 20-yard roll-off bin is soil and rusty drum parts.
