1. Question: Confirm that access will be given to use the existing dirt road to reach the 21+77 anchor point.
Response: Access can be allowed to this area with parking located near the CXT vault toilet but will have to be coordinated with onsite personnel daily. No driving is allowed except for on existing roadways. It is approximately 450-feet of uneven terrain from the anticipated parking area to the work site and can only be accessed by foot traffic with minimal land disturbance. Use areas outside of what is listed in the Contract Drawings will have to be reviewed and approved by the CO in accordance with Section 01 57 90 Preservation of Historical and Archeological
Data.
2. Question: Is there a restriction to which days of the week can we work?
Response: There is no restriction on the days of the week that work is allowed. Archeological monitors will be onsite during the construction period. Practicable schedules (RSN I-9) are required to be submitted by the Contractor to ensure coordination of personnel onsite.
3. Question: Is there a restriction to which hours can we work per day?
Response 3: Contract Section 01 57 20-2 Environmental Controls, 1.07, B Noise Control, states
"Only construction activities approved by COR will be allowed during hours of 7:00 pm to 7:00 am” PST. Steamboat Rock State Park quiet hours are 10:00 pm to 6:00 am PST.
4. Question: Can the concrete intermediate anchors be pre-cast instead of cast-in-place?
Response: The use of pre-cast concrete intermediate anchors is acceptable as long as the concrete rebar, strength and mix design meet the requirements outlined in Contract Sections 03 20 00
Concrete Reinforcing and 03 30 00 Cast-In-Place Concrete.
5. Question: Log sweep is identified as 3” per 33’ log in the specifications; however, the drawings state that 6” sweep is acceptable. Which one of these is correct?
Response: A sweep of log no more than 6-inches per 33-feet shall be allowed per Contract
Drawing 222-100-61078.
6. Question: Field quality testing for the drilled rock anchor is provided in the specification;
however, no field quality testing for the harpoon-style anchors is provided. Please confirm no field quality testing will be required for the harpoon-style anchors or provide the necessary procedures.
Response: Contract Section 35 79 20 Log Booms, 2.01, D require the Harpoon Anchors to be
Foresight Products or equal. The Contractor is required to perform a soil test in the anchor location to determine the appropriate anchors and accessories. The installed anchor shall be load-tested immediately after installation to ensure strength per manufacture's recommendations.
Products are to be submitted via RSN 35 79 20-1 Shop Drawings, with material lists and manufactures' installation instructions.

7. Question: Are barges allowed to be launched using the boat ramp??
Response: Yes, barges will be allowed to be launched via the boat ramp in the Contract
Drawings in accordance with 46 CFR 25.25, 29 CFR 1918, 29 CFR 1926.605, State of
Washington Invasive Species, and owner/operator requirements.
8. Question: Section 10 of SF 1442 states the bid is due at 11:00 Mountain; however, Section 13 says that it is due at 11:00 local time, which is Pacific. Which is correct?
Response: Bids will be due on 08/03/2022 at 11:00 MDT.
9. Question: Will the site visit attendee list be shared?
Response: Yes, it is included with this amendment.
10. Question: It was mentioned that no camping onsite is allowed unless for security purposes and only with approval of the COR. I would assume this does not restrict the contractor from securing campsites within the park’s campground managed by Washington state Parks and Rec.
Is this correct?
Response: Camping will be allowed throughout Steamboat Rock State Park; however, campsites will have to be reserved via Washington State Parks and Recreation. There are generally two smaller areas open in the Dune and Bay Camp loops in the off season.
