Solicitation No. 140R1021Q0045 Amendment 02 Schaake Fuel
Questions Responses
1.) Schedule B shows multiple items for "tanks". From my understanding, you only want to get one tank for the full duration of the contract. Please confirm that. Do I leave the extra tank line items blank?
Tanks have been removed from this requirement.
2.) Tank delivery is set for August 2nd in the solicitation.
Bid is not due until the fourth. Please provide new timeline.
Tanks have been removed from this requirement.
3.) You are requesting a 1,000‐gallon tank. You say you want a load delivered every other business day and that the estimated volume is 188 gallons a day (375/2), but the monthly volume is only estimated to be 2,800 (Well below 188 gallons a day). Please clarify.
The tank has been removed from this requirement. The SOW reads Estimated average usage every other day: 375 total gallons/ estimated monthly 3,000 (these are estimates only, to assist with pricing your quote).
The work‐site will only be operational 4 days per week (Monday through Thursday) fuel will be delivered a minimum of twice weekly (e.g.
Sunday/Tuesday, Monday/Wednesday).
However, the site foreman may increase or decrease fuel delivery frequency based on need.
Fuel delivery quantities will vary based on equipment usage and any unforseen need for the work site to be operational on Fridays.
4.) I might have missed this, but do you want to buy or rent the tank?
The Tank requirement has been removed from this requirement.
5.) There are two black circles on the map, but you request one tank. Am I missing something?
The original solicitation map did not show the delivery location or the gate/entry into the work site. A new map is provided in Amendment 02.
6.) FYI‐ Pricing for fuel changes daily. Having an option for that low of volume seems unusual. Usually, low volume options go in the seller's favor because they have to adjust the price up enough to know that they will not lose money on the project. Just want to make sure you are not paying any more than you need to. Typically, an
OPIS benchmark is used for contracts.
See Section B of Amendment 02 for changes.
