About this file
This document is an Attachment 8 Questions & Answers (Q&A) for Request for Quote (RFQ) 140P8625Q0061 for a flooring replacement and refinishing project at Fort Cronkhite Building 1042 in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. The Q&A covers key details about the project scope, including confirmation that flooring work will encompass the entire building's 26 rooms and common areas, with hardwood floors verified underneath existing carpet and linoleum.
Key project details include a 90-day performance period after Notice to Proceed (NTP), demolition work is included, and there will be no building occupants during construction. The contractor will be responsible for moving and replacing all items, with flexibility to stage work by floor or using a storage container. Davis Bacon wages apply, and minimal painting is anticipated (only touch-ups to quarter rounds if damaged during floor sanding). The only additional note is that kitchen cabinets not removable can remain full during the moving portion of the contract. Interested contractors must RSVP to Quinn_Rankin@nps.gov for site visit details.
