About this file
This is Amendment 001 to solicitation 140P8625Q0004 issued by the National Park Service Pacific West Region for replacing VFD and system components at Fort Mason in San Francisco. The amendment provides answers to vendor questions regarding technical specifications and requirements.
Key details from the Q&A include: one-line control schematics are available on site; soft starters are in full use rather than bypass mode; a 100 hp soft start with HOA switch will replace the VFD; no specific brand preferences but materials must meet Buy America Act requirements; PLC replacement proposals are acceptable but must maintain existing alarms and include details in the technical narrative; the Mission Control SCADA system should be kept; and soft starts are preferred over VFDs where possible. The amendment does not modify the original due date of December 9, 2024.
