SAMO – Hazardous Materials, Removal and Disposal SOW
Part 1: General Information
A. Introduction
The purpose of this SOW is to perform the Hazardous Material Disposals at our Diamond X accumulation site. These expired and new hazmat products include some fuel mixtures, empty compressed gas tanks, paints, solvents, aerosol’s, tires, hydraulic oil, herbicides etc.
See attached hazmat inventory list.
B. Scope
Contractor shall sort, providing appropriate DOT packaging\labeling, and remove all hazardous waste listed on inventory from Diamond X accumulation site.
If any spills occur while loading and transporting, it is up to the contractor to report and clean-up.
The contractor shall provide The National Park Service with The Hazardous Waste Manifest for submission to the proper regulatory agencies (DTSC, CalEPA, and the EPA).
All hazardous materials listed in attachment 001 shall be handled in compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations for proper hazardous material disposal including:
California’s hazardous materials regulations, including those by California Department of Toxic Substances (DTSC), California Environmental Protection Agency (CalEPA), California Health and Safety Code, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) and California Code of Regulations (CCR) title 22.
The awarded contractor shall also adhere to federal hazardous materials regulations, including Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) for waste management and Hazardous Materials Transportation act (HMTA) for transportation.
