Yosemite National Park Questions and Answers – Amd 0002

The following are questions and answers received during the RFQ:

1. Is it permissible for the working crew to stay on-site or near the work location?

a. Answer: No, crews would not be allowed to stay on-site. However, the contractor may secure campsites or hotel accommodations in or near the park at their own expense.

2. Will the crew be able to complete work in one district before moving to the next, or will they need to move between districts based on occupancy?

a. Answer: Yes, the crew will be able to complete work in one district before moving to the next.

3. Is parking difficult, or far away, for any of the properties?

a. Answer: No, parking is not difficult and can be made available adjacent to the work areas.

4. Will keys be provided for each unit? Or what will access be?

a. Answer: Keys will not be provided. The government will provide an escort for interior work. The contractor will be required to submit a schedule to the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) prior to starting work to ensure that advance notice is given to occupants and escorts.

5. Will the properties be occupied?

a. Answer: Yes, most of the properties will be occupied.

6. Does the labor fall under prevailing wages?

7. Clarify whether a Level 1 or level 2 inspection is needed and whether it would require a camera inspection inside the chimney system.

a. Answer - A Level 2 inspection is needed. The Statement of Work has been revised to state Level 2 inspections and to clarify the need for a camera inspection and photographic documentation. Reference “Amd 0002_Atch 02_Statement of Work_Rev.1.pdf” Section 3.5.3.
