Questions and Answers Solicitation 140P8424Q0038

Lassen Volcanic National Park, Manzanita Lake Parking Bumpers

1. How flexible is the delivery period? Would it be possible to make deliveries in phases?

The delivery period has been increased to completion of first delivery within 90 days from award. Phased deliveries will be accepted if the deliveries are scheduled out and contain a substantial number of bumpers. Final delivery must be completed no later than October 31st, 2024.

2. Many vendors worry that 30 days to make delivery will be impossible and suspect that 8-12 weeks will be more reasonable. Will this be a problem?

The delivery period has been increased to completion of first delivery within 90 days from award. Phased deliveries will be accepted if the deliveries are scheduled out and contain a substantial number of bumpers. Final delivery must be completed no later than October 31st, 2024.

3. Will NPS provide a forklift to offload deliveries?

NPS can provide a forklift if given enough notice by the contractor, but it is preferred that the forklift is brought by the contractor for offloading. For those that will bring a forklift, an extra option has been added to the quote sheet for the forklift, if so desired.

4. What is the minimum number of parking bumpers that should be included in each delivery?

The minimum number of bumpers we will allow per delivery is 50, although ideally, we are looking for deliveries of about 225.
