Question(s) & Answers(s) from Site Visit and Emails as of 08/16/2023
Q1. Do we have approval if we can do a dimensional shingle or if it has to be a 3 tab?
A1. See paragraph 9, Products, in Amend 0001_Attachment A SOW for product change. If awarded the contract, the contractor will need to provide a submittal/sample.
Q2. Are we keeping just 2 roof vents or can we add some? If we aren’t adding any, do we want to do a solar attic fan to help keep air flowing and temps down?
A2. See paragraphs 2,-5, Amend 0001_Attachment A SOW, red lined items for the changes.
Q3. Can we tear off the 1x2 strips so that the drip edge can work properly? Currently, it’s not working at its best due to possible leaks wherever that 1x2 strip is nailed. The drip edge either needs to be fully covering that furring strip or that furring strip needs to be come out.
A3. See paragraphs 3 and 5 in Amend 0001 Attachment A SOW, for added information to the SOW.
Q4. Per “Specs-Page 2, Paragraph 9) Products Asphalt three-tab shingles with a wind rating of 115 mph, Requesting to upgrade to an Architectural grade asphalt shingle.
A4. See Q1,A1.
