Question and Answers (Q & A)

NOTE: For the remaining period, we will accept and answer questions only if they have a profound impact on pricing or project execution.

Q1: Will the removal of the fence (debris) be under the service contract wage Act?

A1: Yes, see added Service Contract Wages in Amendment 0001.

Q2: Do you have a count of how many structures (corners and panels) are on the fence?

A2: No

Q3: Will the new fence construction be in the same place as removal or will fence need to be re-routed to a new location?

A3: No, should be replaced at same location.

Q4: With fire season in place right now, when are you wanting to start the project?

A4: We will not postpone unless there is a safety concern of working in the area.

Q5: Will the project require a government agent to be present daily or will contractor be allowed to work independently with updates sent to the COR/PI on a weekly basis, with request for COR presence at job site as needed?

A5: The contractor will be allowed to work independently with occasional visits by the COR.

Q6: Will there be a location at the jobsite where material can be stored?

A6: Yes

Q7: Do you have drawings/specs for the gate installation and structures?

A7: No specifications for structures, however, you’ll just need to meet the requirements of the SOW.

Q8: As terrain is very uneven, there will be a requirement for dead-men, will you accept the dead-men to be constructed with used t-post instead of rocks?

A8: A dead men may be required however; you will need to propose how you are building your dead man before the COR approves.

Q9: What material will be used for structures? Would you allow for schedule 40 pipes A9: Please use wooden structures.

Q10: What kind of post are you wanting for gate structures? Steel Post, wood posts or railroad tiles?

A10: Use Steel posts.

Q11: Will you accept a Letter of Credit as a bid bond?

A11: There is no bid bond requirement.

Q12: The portion that has all the wood material will the wood need to be removed from the site?

A12: Yes.

Q13: There are a couple of corner structures with the steel corners, like the structure at the gate, it seems to be in excellent condition and drilled in, can this structure stay and be reused or will it need to be removed?

A13: Yes, the structure can stay.

Q14: There are quite a few trees and brush on the fenceline, how far out does the clearing need to be from the fenceline? If trees are less than 3 feet from fenceline, will you allow for total removal of the tree?

A14: Clearing of the trees is only necessary if it is required for the replacement of the fence however, the park will be responsible for that undertaking.
