About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for federal contract 140P8226Q0024 addressing specifications and requirements for HAVO HDPE pipe procurement.
The document clarifies three key aspects of the pipe requirement: (1) 2-inch HDPE pipe may be supplied in 500-foot coils in SDR9 rating with 250 PSI pressure rating; (2) fusion training and fusion services will be performed in-house and are not required from the contractor; and (3) no additional fittings or component parts are needed at this time despite the large quantity of pipe being ordered. The responses indicate that the Government has specific technical specifications in mind and will manage certain ancillary services internally rather than through the contract.

A: 500ft Coils are acceptable. SDR9 250psi
Q: We also have a great deal of fusion experience, and we have done fusion training in Hawaii before. Please let us know if you will need it for this project.
A: This will be done in-house.
Q: I was just curious if you needed any extra parts or pieces with the pipe request. There is a large quantity of pipe and usually with that much pipe, fittings are also needed.
