STATEMENT OF WORK:

Install Flooring at OX Ranch House

NATIONAL PARK SERVICE

Mojave National Preserve San Bernardino County, California

MOJA – Install Flooring at OX Ranch House

1. BACKGROUND

The Mojave National Preserve unit of the National Park Service (NPS) and the Ox Ranch House project location is located between Los Angeles, CA and Las Vegas, NV;

south of the Interstate-15 and about 65 miles east of Barstow, CA. NPS is in need of skilled labor to install approximately 820 square feet of engineered vinyl plank flooring, underlayment, quarter round baseboard trim and floor transitional moldings. The vinyl flooring and underlayment will be supplied by the NPS (Government Furnished Materials). NPS requires quarter round baseboard trim, transition strips, primer and paint to match to be supplied by the contractor. Total estimated square footage of flooring to be installed is 820 square feet but is the responsibility of the contractor to confirm all measurements and anticipated costs.

The single-story OX Ranch House consists of a kitchen, northwest bedroom, northeast bedroom, bathroom, hallway, hallway closet, living room, and sunroom. The kitchen and bathroom will not require any flooring. The sunroom and living room have tiled landing areas at the main entrances that the flooring will need to adjoin to by installation of moldings/transition strips. The sunroom has existing flooring, over which the new vinyl plank flooring shall be installed. Cracks currently exist in the living room and northwest bedroom that will need to be addressed before installation (see project task #3). Carpet tack strips are also still nailed to floor and will need to be removed.
