1.3.31/23 We noticed there is no spec on the required PUF density, compression, tensile etc.…
Most solicitations have these types of specs and/or range to assure the correct strength foam is used for the expected performance.
- The technical specifications are based off the
Equipment-less Foam
Sealant (EFS) brand (or equal). The typical physical properties of the brand include: Core Density
(ASTM D-1622) of 2.6 pcf.; Compressive Strength
(ASTM D-1621) of 35 psi.;
Tensile Strength (ASTM D-
1623) of 45 psi.; and Shear
Strength (ASTM C-273) of
43 psi.
Specs provided to the Contract
Specialist. I believe these should address what is required for foam mixture.
