Window Replacement – IATR Questions and Answers listed below:

Questions:

Q: What manufacturer of window was used in the window that was replaced already that was shown in the Picture? Was it prefinished at the factory?

A: Unknown and no it was finished by the contractor that installed it.

Q: Was the exterior a standard color for the manufacturer? If yes, what was the color?

A: No it was applied by the contractor that installed the window.

Q: Was the interior finished at the factory? If yes, what was the finish? If, no do you know what finish was used?

A: No it was not a factory finish and we will work with the winning bidder to ensure they have the exact match for the interior finish color.

Q: Has the project been tested for lead paint? Who is responsible testing? I did not see anything noted about testing / removal of lead paint in the project specifications.

A: Yes and the lead based paint has been remediated.

Q: Are there any pictures of the inside of the openings showing the jambs?

A: The only pictures available were in the SOW and everything was accessible for viewing at the prebid meeting held on site.

Q: On the casement windows, “H” windows offer a push bar and crank hardware. Which should be quoted?

A: Standard Casement Crank Hardware.
