Canal Culvert Cleanout – CUVA Questions and Answers listed below:

QUESTIONS:

Question # Question Answer/Response

1. Are we able to use a hydrant as a water source?

We do not have a hydrant in the area that the contractor can use. Might have to check with local water department to see if the contractor can.

2. Is there an on place site to dump the sediment and debris?

We do not have a location to take the sediment and debris. That will have to be hauled off site.

3. Do you have any laboratory analysis on the waste?

No we do not.

4. Can we leave equipment in the parking lot over night?

Yes, that shouldn’t be a problem.

We would just need to know to let our Law Enforcement know that contractor’s equipment will be kept there. The NPS will not be responsible for any damages to equipment from any vandalism.

5. Can we decant the water from the sediment/sludge on site?
