Will NPS museum staff be available for the entirety of listed working hours to escort consistently as needed? Or will general contractor be given escort privileges?
Listed Working Hours Yes, museum staff will be available. There will be no escort privileges issued.

Is asbestos testing required as any part of this project?
No

s any furniture moving required as part of this contract? Specifically in the storage area.
No, storage area and bay area park staff will be responsible for handing moving furnishing and or collection that are property of the NPS.

Can refrigerant be re-used?
No. Refrigerant cannot be reused, in the new system. It must be recycled or be properly disposed of. Venting refrigerant is prohibited

Who is the preferred roofing contractor for this building? We will have a roof penetration.

that will require patch back.

Contractor will be responsible for finding qualified subcontractors.

Does the roof have an existing warranty? Will new work be required to be warranted by the

contractor?

No current warranty on the roof. All new work/construction is required to have a minimum of 1 year warranty.

What does contractor access look like for the state park and how does this need to be coordinated with the government?
This is not usually required; we simply inform the gate personnel of incoming contractor(s) and subs to allow access. This is usually easier to facilitate if Company Vehicles and or Uniforms are used.

Will contractors be exempt from the pay gate fees associated with entering the park?
Yes.

Will the contractor have dedicated parking and lay down area?
Yes.

What is the building access/badging requirements for workers onsite?
Other than escort into the building/collections room None. Recommend workers have some Identifier for company that they are working for. (Work ID or Uniform)

Is there a rattlesnake safety plan the contractor will be required to follow? If so, can that please be provided?
Yes, and contractor is required to write their own safety plan. Please see attached B09 Solicitation Amendment 3 Attach 3 Rattlesnake document for suggestions/ideas. This is also recommended to be posted at job sites/discussed with crew before coming on site. If more information is needed this can be discussed after the award.

What is the site working hours for this project? Are these strict or may contractors work later into the evenings and on weekends?
As per SOW- On-site work hours: Work shall be generally performed during normal business working hours of 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.

If other hours are needed, they will have to be preapproved.

Evenings and weekend will not generally be acceptable due to the site needing park coverage and not having personnel regularly scheduled for these hours at this location.

Will building be fully occupied during construction?
Building will be in use for entirety of construction.

The 2 existing electrical panels for the HVAC equipment cannot be modified – these enclosures are product specific; they do not make different amperage interchangeable.

Can the government change the verbiage, so it says modify or alter as needed to accommodate the specified amperage ratings?

New electrical drawings are now available and attached to accommodate the changes. See B09 Solicitation Amendment 3 Attach 1 Drawing updated pages 15_19_20.

Is there a warranty on the Roof? If so who with?

No.

Drain from the Roof AC unit is currently coper and spec sheet lists coper can we change to PVC?
Government prefers copper, bid accordingly.

Vents on Duct work currently have a 4" drop on them, will we want to stay with that? Can we go without?
The existing 4” duct drops are to be removed per M001 demolition plan and notes. The existing duct main shall be prepared for a new opening to connect the 10x6 S-1 grille. Per note 5 on M101 a new duct with damper shall be provided for the S-1 grille.

Total Height of the Bay?
Loading Dock Deck Ceiling height: 10' 5.5"

Staging Area Deck Ceiling height: 12' 5"

Hight of the Duct work currently?
In the Intake/Staging Area Low point is 118 inches from the ground

In the Collection Room (secured area) 112.5 inches from the ground

Hight of the Iron work?
Loading Dock Iron Work from the ground is 111.5inches

Intake/staging area from the ground is 131 inches

The mechanical and electrical schedules call for the CRAC unit to be single phase. Due to updates and improvements in CRAC units many of them are now 3 phases. Is there any way to change the schedule to allow 3 phase units?
Currently there is not 3 phase electrical power in the immediate area. That is why there the identified single-phase unit was specified, removing the additional expensive cost of a transformer.

Noticed some verbiage about fire alarm systems and additional security system components on this document but cannot find any of this on the electrical pages. Could we get conformation that all the scope of work is on the electrical plans for the scope of this project
Note 6, Sheet E101: Reconnecting security and alarms hardware on door to the collection’s storage.

Equip Schedule Note 1, Sheet E601: Connect integral smoke detector from RTU-1 to existing fire alarm system.
